1. Communication:

Interpersonal Communication is the process by which people exchange information, feelings and meaning through verbal and non-verbal messages. In this 21st century forms of communication are extensive, email, voicemail, blogs, websites, PowerPoints, YouTube, zoom and Teams meeting, and much more. Interpersonal communication is not just about what is actually said – the language used – but how it is said and the non-verbal messages sent through tone of voice, gestures and body language.

2. Teamwork:

Teamwork  consists of interrelated abilities that let you work effectively in an organised group. Teams are a basic organisational unit within many companies and teamwork happens when people cooperate and use their individual skills to achieve common goals. Teamwork involves building and maintaining relationships, working with with other people with various capabilities and backgrounds, and using the skills and attributes of colleagues.

3. Time Management:

Time Management refers to managing time effectively so that the right time is allocated to the right activity. Effective time management allows individuals to assign specific time slots to activities as per their importance. Time management has a strong connection to self-management which is a vital skill in the world of work.

4. Negotiation:

Negotiation involves two or more parties who each have something the other wants and attempt to reach an agreement through a process of bargaining or compromise. This implies that both parties have an incentive for devoting time and energy to the negotiation, and that they are willing to collaborate to reach a shared agreement to resolve a minor or sometimes major dispute. It can involve informal and formal meetings.

5. Conflict Management:

Conflict is any situation in which there are incompatible goals, thoughts or emotions within or between individuals or groups that lead to opposition or conflicting interventions. It is the struggle between incompatible or opposing needs. It requires investigation and exploration to plan approaches to minimise conflict and planning skills to try to resolve issues that are in conflict.

6. Problem Solving:

Problem-solving skills help you solve issues quickly and effectively. Problem-solving skills require quickly identifying the underlying issue and implementing a solution.

Courageous and Resilient:   A courageous and resilient individual tends to be flexible, be adaptive, cope (even in difficult times), learn from experience and be optimistic.

8. Empathetic:

Empathy is the ability to put oneself in another person's shoes and understand his or her thoughts and feelings, to view and experience the world as the other person views and experiences the world. 

9. Emotional intelligence:

Being aware that emotions can drive our behavior and impact people (positively and negatively), and learning how to manage those emotions – both our own and others – especially when we are under pressure.

10. Mindfulness:

Mindfulness is the process of actively noticing new things. When you do that, it puts you in the present. It makes you more sensitive to context and perspective. It’s the essence of engagement.

11. Authentic:

To be 'authentic' means being true to who you are, and what you do. It is centred on the concept of genuineness. In business, authenticity is closely related to integrity.

12. Reflective:

To be reflective is to think deeply about something. Consider reflecting on yourself and your competencies in a professional context. How would you rate yourself with regards to being Reflective. 

13. Work Ethics:

Work ethic is an attitude of determination and dedication toward one’s job. Those with a strong work ethic place a high value on their professional success. They exhibit moral principles that make them outstanding employees in any position. If you have a strong work ethic, you believe in the importance of your job and typically feel that hard work is essential to maintaining a strong character.

14. Leadership:

Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal. Leadership involves making sound, and sometimes difficult decisions, creating and articulating a clear vision, establishing achievable goals and providing followers with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve those goals.

15. Motivation:

Motivation represents an employee's desire and commitment to perform and is shown in job-related output. It is the drive to pursue one action over another and the willingness to exert high levels of effort towards goals, conditioned by the ability to satisfy some individual needs.
